The Ashtead Kitchen, Larder & Dresser

The Design
We recently completed this lovely kitchen near Ashtead. The natural oak above the cooker combined with the green colour and white larder and Quartz worktop is a beautiful combination.
Even though this kitchen seems simple at first the curated details, materials and storage designed to fit this space perfectly is anything but. The L-shaped kitchen holds a fridge freezer at one end an lower cabinets as the main run and two upper cabinets hugs the extractor fan nicely.
The kitchen is designed in our Westminster Style and bespokely fitted to perfectly fit into this space. The colour is our Friday Night Green and Cliff White from the Herringbone Paints Range. The client worked with architect, Gary Webb from GMW Architectural Designs to make the space flow perfectly.
The Details: Colours, Hardware, Worktops Etc
The design is created to fit smoothly into this relatively small space in the middle of the house. The island is as bespoke as they come and the larder and cooker are within perfect reaching distance on either side of the island. It’s perfect for every day use and gives a perfect view of the garden. The veined Quartz worktop runs throughout the kitchen, including on the splashback wall.
“We wanted an island, a separate pantry, a breakfast station for a pull out coffee machine & toaster, a lot of work space. We wanted the room to be light & lead to out south-facing garden, we went for a dark green & pale grey combination to follow to both the garden but naturally with the rest of our home.”
The warming drawer in the island is another lovely suprise and we love how the light coming in from the garden makes every detail in this kitchen shine.
The Larder
The large pale grey larder and storage unit is as elegant and stylish as it is functional. The different size shelves give extra bespoke storage and the cold shelf makes it easy to wipe down and prepare toast or coffee on too. We love the pull out tray, which not only looks stunning but it’s also incredible functional. The colour is Cliff White from the Herringbone Paints Range.
The Dresser
This purple dresser is beautful! We love the square glass window panels, which allows you to peak in on the clients’ gorgeous glass wear and China. The unit is also packed full of storage with lovely drawers in different sizes to accomodate many items. The Quartz worktop is carried on from the kitchen and the colour is Maple Stock Red from the Herringbone Paints Range.
