The Hoath Home Project

Off white kitchen with dark blue island and white worktops in Canterbury designed by Herringbone

The Design

We recently completed this gorgeous large open plan project for a lovely family near Canterbury, Hoath. The large space offers cabinets on both sides of the kitchen island with lower cabinets on one side where the main sink is fitted and tall floor to ceiling cabinets on the other, which host the double ovens and pantry larder.

The large kitchen island has seating to fit the whole family, a large Bora hub and plenty of bespoke storage. The main cabinets are painted in a light colour similar to Herringbone Paints Cliff White whilst the dark island is a wonderful contrast colour similar to Herringbone Paints Jersey Blue. The kitchen is designed in our Westminster style and bespokely designed to fit into this large open plan space.

The kitchen has a whole host of bespoke storage including cuttlery drawers, a double fridge freezer and a large pantry larder. The pantry larder has bespoke spice racks, a mix of different height shelves to accommodate a variety of items and a cold shelf as well as deep drawers. All handles and hinges are polished brass and look lovely against the chosen cabinet colours. The worktop throughout the project is a low-silica Quartz that help reflect the light around the space.

The Hidden Desk And Breakfast Bar

This open plan kitchen is a multi-use space that even hosts a hidden desk with space to hide away a bar stool to match the kitchen island stools. The pocket doors are the perfect solution for this desk space as it allows for the doors to be hidden when the desk is in use.

The breakfast bar is right next to the desk and also has pocket doors to allow for the cupboard to be in use without any obstructions making the kitchen space even more practical and functional.

The Home Bar

This beautiful drinks unit is designed to fit into the space maximising its use and making it a wow-factor piece of furniture. It’s painted in the same dark blue as the kitchen island and the worktop is also of the same material, connecting the two together and continuing the design.

The bar has bi-fold pocket doors to allow for the doors to be open or closed without any obstructions. The reeded glass looks lovely in the two tower units giving a glimpse of the family’s glassware.
