Herringbone Pantry Terms and Conditions


By placing an order with us, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions of sale (“terms”). If you are unsure about any of these terms, please contact us to clarify them before placing your order. These terms may change, so make sure you read them again before placing any subsequent orders with us.

These Terms and Conditions constitute a legally binding contract between Herringbone Kitchens Ltd (“us”, “we”, “our”) and the customer (“you”, “your”).

These terms fall under English law and the jurisdiction of the English courts.

LIABILITY

We are not liable for any indirect or consequential losses incurred as a result of us being unable to meet our obligations because of things outside of our control, or for any losses which are not reasonably foreseeable when you place your order.

All orders are subject to availability and acceptance by us - if the goods ordered are unavailable, we will contact you with suggestions of goods of similar quality and price.

We are not liable for any damage caused by general wear and tear, neglect, abnormal conditions, purposeful damage, installation, alterations or repairs that have not been approved in writing by us.

We are not liable for any delays, or costs incurred as a result of delays to your installation, so please do not book in any dates for installation until you have received and checked your goods.

DELIVERIES

It is your responsibility to check ceiling heights and doorway sizes, to make sure all items fit with regards to delivery and to notify us in advance regarding any issues with access to the delivery address. Delivery has taken place once the goods have been unloaded at the kerbside.

You are responsible for ensuring that someone will be available to sign for and check the goods at the time of delivery. When taking delivery of your order, it is important that you check all goods for any damage or shortfalls in the presence of the delivery driver and any losses or damages must be clearly written on the delivery note at this time, as no claims for damage can be made after this.

In the case that delivery is unsuccessful due to: (1) no one being present to accept the delivery, (2) access issues that we were not made aware of at point of order, or (3) an inaccurate address provided at point of order, then re-delivery fees incurred as a result will be charged to the customer for each attempted re-delivery.

Please be aware that deliveries are to kerbside only, so if you need assistance moving the delivery then you will need to make arrangements for this.

PAYMENTS

Payment is required in full at point of order. We are unable to dispatch your order until payment has been received in full.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price. If your payment has already been processed and your order is cancelled, we will refund you in full.

All prices include VAT and exclude delivery charges. Delivery charges will be added to your order at checkout.

VARIATION

Goods supplied by us are produced from natural materials and therefore will be subject to variation in colour, tone, cracks and texture which are beyond our control. By placing an order with us you agree that you are aware of this variation and therefore we will not accept this as a reason for returning your goods.

Burnished Brass is a ‘living finish’ and so handles in this finish are subject to changes in colour and texture over time, by placing an order with us you agree that you are aware of this and therefore we will not accept this as a reason for returning your goods.

REFUNDS/RETURNS

If you wish to return stocked goods, please contact us in writing (by email or post) within 14 days of receipt of the goods and we will deal with this in accordance with your legal rights. We are unable to accept returns of bespoke goods, if your goods are faulty please contact us and we will be in touch to organise a replacement. In the case that return of the goods incurs a collection fee, this fee will be charged to you.

STORAGE OF GOODS

The responsibility for proper storage and handling of the goods will pass to you on delivery. The goods must be stored indoors, in a frost free and dry area. Some goods may be damaged by temperature fluctations and it is your responsibilty to ensure the storage area is kept at a consistent temperature.

INSTALLATION

Our Installation Guide is not a substitute for professional advice. We advise employing a proven professional to install your goods and we will not accept liability for any costs incurred during installation of your goods.

You will be unable to make claims for damage can be made after the goods have been laid, altered or installed. Risk of damage to or loss of the goods will pass to you upon delivery.

It is your responsibility to ensure that goods are properly sealed and maintained, we will not accept responsibility for damages caused as a result of improper care and maintenance.

CANCELLATIONS

Cancellations of stocked goods prior to dispatch will be subject to a full refund. If you wish to cancel an order of bespoke goods and production of the goods has already started, refunds will be made once costs incurred have been covered by you. If you wish to cancel an order after the goods have been dispatched, you will be liable for the costs of returning the goods and a re-stocking fee of 20%.
