Putney Kitchen

The Design

We recently completed this beautiful light green kitchen for a family in Putney. The design of this bespoke kitchen consists of bespoke cabinetry in our Rye range. It has a long main run featuring a large Belfast sink, gas countertop hob, American fridge / freezer and an integrated microwave above the cosy coffee station. A long kitchen island sits parallel to the main run, while a tower over unit and double door larder reside to the right of the kitchen.

The Details: Colours, Hardware & Worktops

The bespoke cabinetry was hand-painted in a gorgeous light sage green colour ‘AGY26’ from Mylands while the inside of the units are all oak, with details like the dovetail drawer joints and traditional zig-zag shelve support. This colour beautifully picks up the green in the decorative splashback tiles. We have been seeing a lot more of natural tones and colours in demand in 2021. For their hardware, our clients chose to carry out the Bakes Pull Handles in a burnished brass finish throughout the entire kitchen, keeping it simple and elegant. The worktops and upstands on both the main run and the kitchen island are a beautiful, lightly veined polished quartz in the colour ‘Verona’. By making the countertops a light colour and polished beneath the skylights, creates a stunning reflection of light making the kitchen feel a lot bigger.

The Larder Unit

This beautiful double door larder unit houses all of the family’s essentials. With three oak drawers, three shelves as well as a quartz cold shelf, perfect for cleaning up spills and crumbs! The internal lighting within adds a glamorous touch and is perfect for a midnight snack.
