The St Albans Kitchen, Larder & Dresser
The Design
We recently completed this lovely kitchen for a family near St Albans. We love the symmetry in this space, using the different size cabinets to make use of every single inch of the kitchen.
It features a long run of low cabinetry with a sink and upper and lower cabinets on each side of the Range Cooker to fit as much storage in as possible as well as the fridge freezer. The overhang on the island allows for comfortly seating four people and allows for an extension of the workspace as well as even more bespoke open storage.
The cabinetry is our Westminster Range, in a stunning dark green blue colour for the main cabinets and a slightly lighter contrast colour for the island.
The Details: Colours, Hardware, Worktops Etc
The space works as a large living, kitchen, dining area, which due to the nature of the design and bespoke make of the cabinets, flows seamlessly together as one. The Westminster Range is a perfect compliment to the old building and the colour tone, together with the wood, bring a lovely warmth to the space.
The simplicity of the Quartz worktop flows throughout the kitchen space and into the dresser and larder adding elegance and style to the cabinetry. The open book shelves in the island allows for a pop of colour bringing in the clientβs personality and the perfectly fitted small wine fridge is a lovely touch.
Each and every drawer in this kitchen has bespoke storage built within them to keep everything organised, easy to access and neat at all times.
The Larder Cupboard and Dresser
On the other side of the main run sits the floor to ceiling bespoke units, hidding away a large larder and dresser. It features natural elements of oak shelving at different heights to store all essentials.
The cold shelf in the larder is perfect for hiding away all the utilities whilst plugs have been fitted to enable the use of white goods. The drawers offer up the perfect storage for pasta, cereals, condiments etc.
We wish the client a lifestime of fun and happiness in their kitchen.
